Review of Dunhill Durbar

  • Thabo Pienaar

On with my tobacco reviews since I've been receiving some new tobaccos. This is then my tobacco review of Dunhill Durbar. Also available on YouTube.

The tin description says: "A high portion of mature dark as well as yellow Virginias combined with Latakia and Oriental leaf. Wonderful tobacco review of dunhill durbarbalance, mild in flavour with floral and subtly smoky notes. " Apparently this is a remake of the original Durbar. I have not tasted the original Durbar, so can't comment whether its better or worse. Durbar is an English blend of Latakia, Oriental/Turkish and Virginia. Mild to medium in strength; no flavouring, medium to full taste and a pleasant room note. My tobacco review of Dunhill Durbar:
Tin: Smelling the tobacco in the tin, I got a clear cocoa (roasted) and woody aroma with some light floral notes.
Taste: Lighting the bowl presented with a nice clean tobacco flavour - well balanced. The flowery notes was present with woody notes from the Latakia. A really nice tobacco for an all-day smoke. https://youtu.be/iOOo4TqoaCw YouTube video here.
