Greek Hand-Made (AS Pipes)
I have this Greek Craftsman hand-made pipe by Anthonis Salas (Amateur Pipe Maker) from Agia Paraskevi, Greece in my pipe collection. During Jan 2014, me and a PSF member exchanged pipes – he was looking for a biggish bowl Peterson (which I bought from eBay in November 2013 and didn’t liked the big bowl that much – Peterson Kildare, beautiful pipe though). I was intrigued by the shape (Zulu) as
well as the “hand-made by Greek craftsman”. I also liked the smaller size and we completed the exchange. The Zulu shape is a variation from the Zulu horn pipe which was made by the Zulus in very early days. I made a video of the possible origins of the shape name here.
